David Waters of HomeStretch
Terrell Jones of Flagstar Bank presents a $5,000 check to HomeStretch
Club member David Waters, who is also CEO of HomeStretch, gave a presentation to the Club about HomeStretch. HomeStretch is the Alpharetta Rotary Club's signature community service project in 2008. David recognized the significant involvement of the Club and our numerous Rotarians who are sponsoring families in HomeStretch. We were also honored to have Terrell Jones of Flagstar Bank at the meeting to present a $5,000 check to HomeStretch.
The Club's treasurer, Bill Weeks, had been away for six weeks and we welcomed him back. For those people who didn't recognize Bill, it was pointed out that Bill has been so busy that he was unable to get a hair cut for several months.
Also, Heidi Virtanen, our GRSP student from Finland, attended the meeting with her host family, Steve and Pat Gillard. The Club had the opportunity to stand with Heidi during the playing of the Finnish national anthem at the end of the meeting.
