All Hands on Deck - Nov. 8th

Canine Assistants (see http://www.canineassistants.org ) is a great organization which trains and provides service dogs for children and adults with physical disabilities or other special needs.  The dogs you saw at FunFest wearing the green and gray jackets were Canine Assistants dogs in training.

Alpharetta Rotary Club has supported Canine Assistants over the past 7 years with a number of projects, including helping complete a building, adding a deck to one of their on-campus residences, buying a bus, landscaping and fencing.

On Saturday, Nov. 8, we will gather at Canine Assistants on Francis Road at 8:00AM to build a new deck and add a doorway to the deck.  This is a repeat (on a different house) of a project that we did a number of years ago (see photograph above), which Canine Assistants has enjoyed very much.  We will try to duplicate this as closely as possible.

Several of you have already volunteered to help with this but we can always use more.  Please send Mike Lowry an email or give him a call if you are interested in helping out.
