"Adeus" to the GSE Team

At Bulloch Hall
Thursday the team got an early start with a tour/visit to Bulloch Hall. A big lunch at Pastis on Canton Street in Roswell was followed by a tour of Smith Plantation. The male team members took advantage of the porch rocking chairs there to rest up for the party at Beecham's that evening.

Friday morning it was off to Alpharetta Rotary for their presentation at our weekly meeting followed by a tour of Alpharetta City Hall and a meeting with James Drinkard, Assistant City Manager arranged by Mayor Belle Isle. James gave an overview of local government followed by an engaging discussion on of the similarities and differences of our two countries. Lunch at Village Tavern, shopping, and relaxing rounded out the day before the team members returned to their host families for a farewell dinner.

Saturday morning at the Leaman's home
Saturday morning the group convened at Rick Leaman's home before leaving for downtown Atlanta. They planned to stay Saturday and Sunday seeing the sights before making their separate way across the US before going back to Brazil the following week. Thanks to Rick, the host families and all involved for making the visit a a great success.
