Image  Image Alpharetta, Ga. – March 18, 2013 – During their weekly meeting on Friday, March 15th, the Rotary Club of Alpharetta presented a plaque to Kim Dodson in recognition of her work on last year’s Midsummer Night’s Mayor’s Run and Fun. Mayor David Belle Isle stated his appreciation for all of the work Kim does for the city in the special events office. This year’s Mayor’s race will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013, so the committee will begin planning soon.

I was surprised and grateful to be acknowledged at the meeting,” said Kim Dodson, Special Events Manager of the City of Alpharetta.   “Helping to create community is what I truly enjoy, and I am the one that is thankful to work with such a wonderful group of people in the Alpharetta Rotary Club.”

Kim organizes and assists various organizations within the community to plan and produce events such as the Arts Streetfest, Taste of Alpharetta, the Old Soldiers Parade and the Georgia/Florida Game Chili Cook-Off, just to name a few. The newest event Kim is working on is the Food Truck event which starts April 11th and each Thursday thereafter. It will be located in the downtown parking lot on Old Roswell Street. 

 “We are grateful to Kim and recognize her for all her efforts in working with these groups to produce successful fundraisers and events,” said Bill Weeks, President of Rotary Club of Alpharetta.
