Bill and District Governor Elect Cheryl Greenway

President Elect Bill Weeks and Foundation Director John Hipes attended the District 6900 Foundation Seminar in Columbus, Georgia on August 6th.  District Foundation Chairperson Bill Woulfin reported that while contributions were down slightly last year, District 6900 continues to be one of the top Districts in the world in annual and per capita giving.  The seminar placed an emphasis on Every Rotarian Every Year contributing to the Rotary Foundation, and having members in our Clubs becoming Paul Harris Fellows.  The money contributed to the Foundation is used to fund district and global projects.  In District 6900, we are part of the Future Vision pilot program that enables Clubs in our District utilize these funds to participate in district grant projects, global grant projects, and scholarship grants at home and abroad, as well as vocational and humanitarian grant projects.  When you contribute to the Rotary Foundation, you are eradicating polio, fighting thirst and hunger, reducing child mortality, providing education and literacy, and directly contributing to Rotary’s humanitarian efforts at home and abroad.  Giving comes from the heart.  Thank you for your continued support of the Rotary Foundation.
