This was a busy meeting. President - Elect Bill Weeks was on hand having just returned from the 2012 Rotary International Convention in Bangkok.
President Sam Gordon and Eric Douglas introduced us to the new concept of "friendly team competition" with the goal to generate additional club fundraising revenue via increased raffle ticket sales / sponsors for our upcoming Mayor's Run & Fun Event. Each of the nine teams is lead by an Alpharetta Rotary Past President. The team that generates the most revenue will be declared the winner and will be treated to a dinner at Milton's restaurant provided by Rotarian, Chef Boyd Rose. Good Luck teams!

Our GRSP student, Kinga Gruszecka, was the guest speaker. She spoke about of the highlights of her year in the United States and acknowledged the generous support of her host families. She also had a special audio-visual presentation which included an original song written and performed by a fellow GRSP student. Kinga plans to continue her studies when she returns to Poland.
