Alpharetta, Ga. – February 4, 2013 – Rotary Club of Alpharetta member Steve Beecham has created a program to help individuals learn more about entrepreneurship. Steve along with other Alpharetta Rotary professional entrepreneurs will conduct the three one-half day seminars on February 23rd, March 23rd, and April 20th. They will teach participants the ABCs of owning their own business and help individuals put together a business plan they can take to the bank! Topics will include branding, sales and marketing, legal structures and financial options.

Each seminar will also include talks from very successful entrepreneurs such as Fran Tarkenton of www.onemorecustomer.com and Rick Doty of Sunglass Warehouse. The program is limited to 30 people and includes the three seminars as well as visits to local charitable organizations and two socials.  Along with learning about entrepreneurship and how to start a business, each participant will be challenged to raise $1,000 for one of three pre-selected local charities. For more information or to sign up, please contact Steve Beecham at 770-634-2531 or steve@hometownmoney.com.

“It dawned on me one day that the Alpharetta Rotary Club is full of self-employed people and that we could bring some value to the community with all our knowledge. Part of being an entrepreneur is giving back to the community so we will also teach budding entrepreneurs how to do that by introducing them to a local charity,” said Steve Beecham of the Rotary Club of Alpharetta.

“We are very appreciative of the idea Steve presented and glad that the Board supported it. We look forward to the project being a great success,” said Bill Weeks, President of the Rotary Club of Alpharetta.
