September 23, 2011 Meeting
At the meeting our club took delivery of 25 new safety vests to replace the old ones used for Adopt-A-Mile. The new vests have the Rotary logo and Alpharetta Rotary Club printed on the front and back. They come in sizes from regular to 3XL and will increase the safety factor over our old ones. 
In addition the vests will be available for numerous club, volunteer events giving our club more visibility and recognition. Chris Weeber coordinated the selection, design, and purchase with Heather Demis.
President Sam Gordon recognized three club members for their service by awarding them "Hearts for Humanity" pins. They are: FAMILY / Charlcie Forehand for coordinating our monthly Rotary After Hours; COMMUNITY / William Perkins for organizing our USO service and sending packages to our soldiers overseas; CHANGE / Steve Beecham for promoting the development of our IRONKIDS opportunity for service and fundraising.
