USO Day Of Service - June 07, 2012

   This was another rewarding day for the club to serve others who serve our country. Once again we provided barbecue pork and chicken, wings, slaw, potato salad, and drinks to over 120 soldiers at the Atlanta Hartsfield - Jackson Airport USO as they waited for their evening flight back to Afghanistan. Greeting them as they arrived for their flight and providing directions was also part of the volunteer effort.    The rest of our volunteers were Joe and Sue Kralovec, Nick Born, Eric Douglas and friend Erik Peterson, John Dodero, Chris Weeber and James Benson who provided the free use of Verizon cell phones for the troops. This is one of the most worthwhile service projects our club performs and if you haven't volunteered before please consider doing so. Our next USO date is Thursday, July 5.
