USO Service Day

On Thursday, 30 December members of our club had the opportunity and privilege of hosting and assisting 200 of our servicemen and servicewomen at the USO at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Most were returning to Afghanistan after a stateside R&R. Thanks to William Perkins for organizing our participation which included supplying 30 pounds  of barbeque. We had a great crew of volunteers: Jerry Urmanski, Lawrence Mulkey, Sue and Joe Kralovec, Phil Baldwin, Phil Kingry, Lynne Riley, Yvonne Chrimes, William Perkins, Chris Weeber, Nick Born, Charlie Swahn, and James Benson. Special thanks to James for arranging the use of Verizon cell phones for the troops.
