Georgia Child Identification Program

The Georgia Child Identification Program (GA CHIP) will be at the Alpharetta Rotary FunFest on Saturday, September 20 from 11AM-6PM to help parents and guardians better understand how they can protect their children.  At no charge, a child's family will receive on a small computer disk: full-color digital photographs showing various poses of the child; a complete set of digital fingerprints; a list of the child's distinguished features and characteristic; and a laminated ID card with the photo and information.

All of the identifying information about the child collected at the event is then given to the child's family and only the permission slip signed by the guardian prior to participation is retained by the program.  All other data is permanently erased.

This free GA CHIP program opportunity is offered by the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation and the Freemasons of Georgia.  For more information about the program, visit www.gachip.org.
