July 18th Meeting

District Governor Ted Propes Visits and 
Club Makes Donation to the YMCA 

The Club presents a $6,000 check to the Alpharetta YMCA

District Governor Ted Propes and his wife April visited the Rotary Club of Alpharetta on July 18th.  DG Ted gave an inspiring message to the Club on what it means to be a Rotarian and he touched on topics including the Rotary Foundation, club membership growth and retention, and promoting afterschool and summer learning programs in Georgia.  After DG Ted's message, the Club presented the Ed Isakson / Alpharetta YMCA Partners with Youth Campaign a check for $6,000 to further its afterschool and summer programs.  Dan Pile and our own Gayle Battersby, both with the YMCA, received the check and Gayle presented the Club with a banner recognizing the Club as a significant sponsor of the YMCA and Partners with Youth.
