Soccer is Coming to Atlanta

We had a lively meeting on May 8th.  Buddy Lollis gave an update to the Club on the Alpharetta Relay for Life and then pulled the winning ticket for "Putt for Life."  Steve Corder won the prize - a foursome golf outing to the Trophy Club of Atlanta.  Steve auctioned the prize to the Club and Dan Merkel was the high bidder.  Steve then donated the money to GRSP and the Will Watt Foundation. 

Ben Easterling provided an update for last minute preparations for the Mayor's Challenge and Bill Weeks gave us a spirited update on the plans for the luau.

Our speaker, Fitz Johnson, gave an informative presentation about the formation of the women's professional soccer league and starting a franchise in Atlanta.
