Alpharetta on the Run

Committee members Ben Easterling, Kathy Marko, Gayle Battersby and Janet Rodgers

Last Saturday morning, Rotarians and runners gathered at Wills Park for the 13th annual Mayor's Challenge.  Runners, both young and old, ran the 5k and 10k race through the streets of Alpharetta.  Rotarians volunteered to sign up the runners, set up the food and water stations, direct the runners on the course, and help record their times.  Mayor Letchas started the race and handed out the winner's plaques.  The Original House of Pancakes once again provided a great breakfast to the hungry runners.

This year, we raffled a vacation travel package as part of the fund raiser, and for the second time this year, Buddy Lollis won the raffle (Buddy also won the car raffle at FunFest).  Congratulations Buddy!

Thanks to Ben Easterling for once again steering his committee to yet another successful Mayor's Challenge.
