Meeting - Oct. 18, 2013

The speaker at our meeting on Oct. 18 was Lt. Dennis Valone of the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.  Lt. Valone is leading the department's effort to redefine the relationship between citizens and police through an intensive community outreach effort.  His leadership is teaching other officers to be more outgoing in establishing relationships with the residents and businesses they come in contact with, and conversely, teaching the residents and businesses to view the police not just a community servants, but as friends.  Further interaction by Rotarians with Lt.
