Curious George Returns from Japan

George Siggins

Last Friday George Siggins shared with the Club great stories about his trip to Japan as part of Rotary's Group Study Exchange.  GSE is one of many great opportunities Rotary offers to bring people from around the world closer together.

We also completed this year's signature project.  Community Service Director Charlie Swahn presented the City of Alpharetta with a check for $12,000 to purchase a new Fire Safety House.  The original Fire Safety House, which was purchased with funds provided by the Alpharetta Rotary Club in the 1990s, is being retired.  Thanks to Charlie and Keith Sanders for coordinating this signature project.

Bill Weeks gave a final update for the first annual the ANFW Bowling Challenge.  Bill also unveiled the magnificent "Ralphie" bowling trophy that that will be awarded to the winning club.
