President's Message - April 25, 2014

District Conference

This is a very important week to the Rotary Leadership Teams and the clubs in District 6900.  This week many of us will be attending the Rotary District Conference in Destin, Florida.  This conference will involve several opportunities for our club to interact with other clubs, attend some very inspiring sessions and at the end of the conference we will see how we stacked up against other clubs our size.  We have 24 of our club members attending this as well as many of their spouses.  We look forward to bringing back some good news as well as the details for next year’s conference which until now has been a closely held secret by our very own Lauri and Rory Young, who are co-chairing next year’s event.
 
As you have probably figured out, if I am at the conference I can’t be at Rotary on Friday and you are correct.  For that matter, President Elect Karen Nolan will also be out of town so we are pleased to announce the return of Past President Steve Gillard who will step out of retirement this Friday and lead the meeting.
