President's Message - May 16, 2014

This week our speaker is our own Alpharetta Director of Public Safety Gary George.  Gary has been an active member of our club for many years which has allowed a lot of you to get to know him on a more personal level.  I have had the pleasure of serving on the board of the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation with Gary for over 5 years and I am also a graduate of his first Alpharetta Public Safety Academy.  I mention these only because these experiences have given me some insight into the department and what a great organization we have in our city.
 
All that being said this will be a great meeting to bring a guest.  I am pretty sure we won’t get to see a live car chase and without a volunteer from the audience we probably won’t get to see anyone get tased either but I assure you it will be an interesting and engaging program.  Please inform your guests Gary cannot fix their red light ticket and it is not illegal for a dog to bark.
