What a great meeting we had last Friday.  There was a lot of energy in the room as we buzzed with excitement over the recognized accomplishments of your  club over the last year and then we honored some very deserving students and capped off the meeting with a presentation from Luma our GRSP student.

That energy flowed over into Saturday morning where many of us took part in the Alpharetta Day of Service.  My family and I worked with a group cleaning up the landscaping and some minor repairs at two houses.  The owners were elderly and needed a boost so it was a great project.  For us it was a normal thing because as a family in Rotary  my wife and girls have been doing this sort of thing for almost 10 years and its natural to them.  The cool part for us was we recruited some non-Rotary friends who were not really sure what they were getting into.  I have received several e-mails from them saying how great that experience was and they would like to do it again.  I also got a call from a friend of a friend who heard about it and wants to be included next time.

Engaging Rotary and changing lives.  Its not just what we do its who we are.

Projects are pausing slightly as we head toward the new Rotary Year on July 1. However, that does not mean that there is not an opportunity to serve.

Contact Jason Binder (Jason.Binder@AcolyteAdvisors.com) if you have any suggestions for additional Service Opportunities in May or June.

See you Friday.

Yours in Rotary,

Dan
