Clean the Hooch this Saturday!

The Rotary Club of Alpharetta will join with other area Rotary Clubs and Rivers Alive on September 27th to help clean the banks of the Chattahooche River right here in North Fulton County.  Please bring your spouses and children to join in this great community service project.

Rivers Alive, Georgia's annual river clean-up, comes to North Fulton on September 27. Sponsored by Keep Roswell Beautiful (KRB), the clean-up will take place from 9 a.m. until noon at Riverside Park. The event will be held rain or shine.

Georgia has more than 70,100 miles of rivers and streams that need your help to stay clean. Individuals, neighborhoods, scout troops, schools, churches, clubs and service organizations are being asked to pull together to make a difference for the Chattahoochee River. Cleanups of the Chattahoochee and surrounding areas will be going on in the week leading up to the event. Volunteers are also needed on the morning of this event for a privet pull (invasive species) at Chattahoochee Nature Center and litter pick ups in surrounding areas.
