Thank You Letter from Lt. Matthew Morgan

President Elect William Perkins has for several years organized efforts within the Club to provide supplies and small reminders of home to our troops stationed overseas.  William received the following letter of thanks in response to one such recent shipment of supplies:

Dear Mr. Perkins,

I received all of your packages this last week. I apologize for taking so long to write you, it is hard to find enough free time to write, and our internet doesn't always work, in fact it is kind of amazing we have it where we are at all.

Thank you so much for your, and everyone's, extreme generosity.  Everything that was sent was very much appreciated and to some degree needed.  Around 30 different soldiers were able to go through the boxes and I still have about 8 boxes to send to another company that needs some things.  Every time soldiers get sent out on different missions, some lasting up to a month or more, we take snacks and supplies from your packages and load them up.  Every time I go out I pack some of the snacks you sent.  Everything was very useful. I know the movies and magazines are being passed around and shared, as well as the games.  Everyone here extends their warmest thanks to you.  It meant a lot to many of the soldiers here to get such amazing support from home.  No one could believe how many boxes full of treats kept arriving, it was incredible.  I passed on your letter for everyone to leave, but people come and go so frequently here, and I've been out fairly often myself, so I've lost track of whose read it, and who has what and where they are, but you should know it has made life for many people here much more enjoyable.

I don't know how to thank you, and everyone that contributed enough, but I will come up with something before I get back, and get back to you with that.  I will never forget your groups kindness, and I will make sure everyone knows what a great thing you did for us.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much.  When I get some free time and access to a mail drop box, I will write you a proper thank you letter.

-LT. Matthew Morgan (and many, many soldiers from both HHC Brigade, and Bravo Company, 101st Airborne Div.)
