Why Join Rotary?

Why are we in Rotary?

If you want to associate with community leaders, network with people of substance and be respected around the world, Rotary is a great place.  But is that why we’re here?

If you want to tackle serious world-class problems such as polio, inadequate drinking water, human trafficking and illiteracy, then you definitely belong in Rotary.  If you want 100% of the time and money you invest in charitable pursuits to go directly to the community, then Rotary is the place for you.  If you are immediately motivated to volunteer or send money into disaster situations such as the Haiti earthquake, the Philippine tsunami or the floods in Chile then you will find a welcome home in Rotary.

Rotary is the largest, most effective service organization in the world.  We give substantial time and money to community projects and causes around the world, not for recognition or reward but simply to be effective in solving problems.  You can visit any major city in the world and be welcomed into multiple active Rotary clubs where the members are community leaders who share the same values.
